Prediction Text Styles

  • Capswan reads prediction text using NLP or "Natural Language Processing". NLP strives to understand text in the same way that humans do. Currently, Capswan needs to see these three things in order to successfully place a prediction:
    • Asset
    • Price Prediction
    • Expiry time/date

Asset

  • Assets can be recognized by their full name (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana) or by their ticker (BTC, ETH, SOL). A full list of supported assets can be found here.

Price prediction

  • Price prediction is the direction that your prediction wants to take, up or down. This is the main aspect of learning that NLP has to deal with.
  • Using examples such as rally, moon and sink as examples of terms that indicate which direction a prediction will be traded.
  • A strike price is also required as part of any prediction. This can come in forms such as $30,000, 30K, and 30 thousand dollars.
  • However, price predictions can also be represented as a percentage: BTC down 1% tomorrow.

Expiry time/date

  • Currently all predictions need an expiry time/date.
  • This can be in the form of a set date, or a set amount of time away from the prediction.
  • Public holidays are also recognized. The following are acceptable examples of expiry time/date; third of Dec, 3rd of Dec, by December 2022, in two weeks time, by next Sunday, by Easter Sunday, and by Thanksgiving.

We encourage Capswan users to test the boundaries of their predictions. Use terms that have not been listed here to test the NLP. The more expressive language it sees the better it can become.
